DRIVING MECHANISM FOR TAPE RECORDER

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure, by controlling a pinch driving plate, which is displaced by a connecting plate, to cause one end of the pinch driving plate and the other to correspond to one of two pinch rollers and an erasing head base on the side of an erasing head corresponding to the pinch roller respectively. CONSTITUTION:A mechanism consists of a rotatable erasing head base 30 which has erasing heads 31 and 32 brought into contact with a tape alternately, a pinch driving plate 21 where one end and the other correspond to one of pinch rollers 16a and 17a and the erasing head base 30 on the side of the erasing head corresponding to the pinch roller respectively by displacement, and a connecting plate 20 which is displaced by the driving operation for recording and reproducing or the like to displace the pinch driving plate 21 and presses a selected pinch roller to either of capstan shafts 5a and 5b and brings erasing heads 31 and 32 into contact with the tape.
