Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To positively detect the presence, if any, of leakage even if there exits a part from where the leakage would not occur when the pressure is lowered, from the fact that a circuit pressure exceeds a predetermined value when a pressure is applied, and after the application of the pressure is stopped, the circuit pressure lowers to be or less than the predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A detector 9 detects leakage, if any, from a brake piping system including a brake cylinder 3 and a pipeline 4. The program of a computer 23 is started for operation, an electromagnetic valve 13 is opened, and a pump 15 is driven so that the discharged oil is supplied to the pipline 4 and the cylinder 3. It is judged whether the pressure applied to the brake piping system is equal to or above an abnormality judging reference pressure or not, and when the applied pressure is not greater than the reference pressure, an indication lamp 26 is lit to indicate the situation of the mishap that a considerable amount of oil is leaking. On the other hand, when the pressure in the piping system is equal to or above the reference pressure, the pressure applied to the piping system is lowered to the pressure included at the time of detection of the leakage by the computer 23, the the lowered pressure is compared with the pressure after passage of a prescribed period, and if the difference falls within a tolerance deviation, it is regarded as normal.
