SELF-WALKING TYPE SEMI-SUBMERSIBLE OCEAN-GOING WORKING BARGE

PURPOSE:To enable to perform a rapid and reliable movement of a ship position, by a method wherein a carriage is movable mounted at the inside of a well bored in a lower hull, constituting a part of a buoyancy body of barge, and legs, piercing through the carrriage, are installed in a perpendicular direction. CONSTITUTION:If legs 5 and 5' are caused to drop freely, they are inserted into the bottom ground of the sea for securing therein. With a hydraulic cylinder 4 actuated under said condition., a hull moves by a full stroke in a direction of an arrow mark. Then, the leg 5 or 5' is pulled from the bottom of the sea by means of an elevator 6, and the hydraulic cylinder 4' or 4 is returned to the original position. The leg 5' or 5 is then inserted in the bottom ground of the sea again for fastening therein. Through repetition of the works, the barge moves like a measuring worm.
