Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To high accurately detect a load of actuating a valve, by providing a light receiver, receiving light from a light emitter, and a mechanism, detecting a load for open-close actuating the valve unit on the basis of a light receiving pulse period from the light receiver. CONSTITUTION:A valve actuating load detector 14 consists of a light emitter 11 and light receiver 12 in a valve opening detector 7 and a mechanism 16, detecting the open-close actuating load of a valve body 2 on the basis of a light receiving pulse period from the light receiver 12, then on the basis of pulse period variation deriving from speed change of a rotary mechanism 10 a detected value of its varying valve body actuating load is digitally displayed by a microcomputer. A preset value of the valve body actuating load at opening and closing of the valve body is compared with a load detected value, if the detected value becomes at least the preset value, its drive stop signal is input to a drive stop mechanism 9.
