PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION OF GAMMA-GLOBULIN FOR VENOCLYSIS

PURPOSE:A pharmaceutical preparation of gamma-globulin for venoclysis being stable for a long time, useful for remedying and preventing various kinds of microbisms, comprising a gamma-globulin having a sufficiently low anticomplementary activity and sodium chloride and L-arginine or L-lysine in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:1pts.wt. gamma-globulin having sufficiently low anticomplementary activity is blended with 0.12-0.24pts.wt. sodium chloride and 0.69-1.04pts.wt. L-alignine or 0.58-0.88pts.wt. L-lysine, to give a gamma-globulin for venoclysis. Since a gamma-globulin so far obtained from plasma contains impurities exhibiting high anticomplementary activity, its use is limited to an intramuscular injection, but it has such defects that it has a pain of the affected part, and it is decomposed during its long retention time in the affected part so that sufficient concentration in the blood is not attained. The above-mentioned defects are eliminated by adding stabilizers nontoxic to a living body, exhibiting activity at a concentration close to a physiologic osmotic pressure to a gamma-globulin with its impurities removed, having sufficiently low anticomplementary activity.
