BROACHING TOOL EXCHANGING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To expedite the exchanging work of a broaching tool by having an endless chain make a half circle to move a broach holder in use to the top of a tool tunnel and the other broach holder to the machining position. CONSTITUTION:To exchange a broaching tool 19, a piston rod 23 of a fluid pressure cylinder 22 for securing is extended to release the securing of a broach holder 20 against a tool tunnel 14, and a piston rod 26 of a fluid pressure cylinder 25 for positioning is retracted to pull out the piston rod 26 from a taper hole 27 of the broach holder 20 next. Then adriving motor 19 is actuated to turn an endless chain 17 a half circle to move the broach holder 20 with the endless chain 17 guided by a guide roller 21 carrying the broach holder 20 which was in use to the outside of the tool tunnel 14 while guiding the broach holder 20 which was at the top of the tool tunnel 14 to the machining position inside of the tool tunnel 14 positioning and securing it there.
