METHOD OF CONTROLLING DISTRIBUTING OF POWDER

PURPOSE:To equalize the flow rates of a mixture in all branch pipes for distributing powder by mixing it with gas, by comparing the flow rates in the branch pipes with one another and controling the flow rate of added gas to each branch pipe depending on the result of the comparison. CONSTITUTION:Carrying air is mixed into coal pulverized to a prescribed grain size. The mixture is introduced into a reserve tank. After that, the mixture is pressurized so that it is conducted to a distributor 1. The mixture is distributed under high pressure from the distributor 1 to the tuyeres of a blast furnace through branch pipes S1-Sn. The reference pressure of each of the branch pipes S1-Sn is detected by a pressure gauge PO at the distributor 1. The pressure values measured by the pressure gauge PO and other pressure gauges P1-Pn at the branch pipes S1-Sn are entered into pressure difference transmitters D1-Dn to determine the pressure differences. To equalize the pressure differences to one another, pressure difference signals are applied to the flow control valves V1- Vn of air pipes 3 to appropriately regulate the valves. The flow rates of the mix ture in the branch pipes S1-Sn are thus equalized to one another.
