GAS PURIFYING APPARATUS FOR SHAFT FURNACE

PURPOSE:To enable to carry out continuous dust collection without lowering dust collecting efficiency, in the titled apparatus of dry type, by providing a packing layer type dust collector having a washing hood to a downstream side of a cyclone type dust collector. CONSTITUTION:Gas flowed in tangentally from an inflow port 15 is advanced downwardly while a revolving stream is generated in a large diameter tube 14 and dust with fairly fine particle size in the gas is collected by centrifugal force in a coanse dust duct 17 through a dust hopper. On the other hand, the gas stream containing the residual fine dust is passed through packing layers 6, 7 packed with a filter material 5 provided to a downstream side thereof to remove fine dust and the purified gas is exhausted from an outlet 8. Herein, to an upper part of the packing layers, washing hoods 9, 10 to which negative pressure is imparted are attached in a condition movable by a moving mechanism 13 and the fine dust accumulated in the packed layer 6, 7 is floated as the packed layers are fluidized and sucked to the washing hoods 9, 10 and collected in a cyclone 20.
