Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To keep flame of a gas burner in a stable state, by constituting the top end portion of a gas burner by a sonic nozzle and a gas nozzle serving also as a baffle plate, so that the gas flow rate is not influenced by variation in the internal pressure of a furnace. CONSTITUTION:The top end portion of a gas burner is composed of a gas nozzle 6 having a sonic nozzle hole 8 and a gas nozzle 7 serving also as a baffle plate which is formed with gas injection holes 9 for injecting gas into a furnace. Since, according to the above arrangement, gas ejected from the sonic nozzle hole 8 once impinges onto the baffle plate and is then ejected into the furnace at a low speed, i.e., at such a flow rate as may not cause difficulty in keeping flame in a stable state, gas can be burned in a stable manner irrespectively of variation in the internal pressure of the furnace
