AGENT FOR CONTROLLING LISSORHOPTRUS ORYZOPHILUS KUSHEL AND SOIL VERMIN

PURPOSE:To prepare the titled controlling agent having synergistic effect and excellent residual activity, and capable of completely controlling Lissorhoptrus oryzophilus KUSHEL, etc., by mixing O,O-diisopropyl-S-benzyl thiophosphate with other specific compound, and forming the mixture to granules. CONSTITUTION:(A) O,O-diisopropyl-S-benzyl thiophosphate having remarkable effect to rice blast is mixed with (B) O,O-dimethyl-O-[3-methyl-4-(methylthio)phenyl] thiophosphate which has excellent effect to rice stem borer and larva of Hemiptera, Lepidoptera, etc., and is effective to Lissorhoptrus oryzophilus KUSHEL and soil vermins, esp. gold beetles, but not sufficiently effective by the single use. The mixture is formed to granules. The ratio of (A):(B) is pref. 1:4-4:1. By forming the active components to granules, the agent can be brought into direct contact with the place in which the larva is living, e.g. the part near or around the root of the crop. The agent is applied to the surface of paddy water or the soil of plowed field.
