Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts, simplify assembling and reduce a weight of an ignitor for use with an internal combustion engine by a method wherein a housing and a case or insulating material of a transformer boosting an ignition signal voltage are formed into an integral body with synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:A housing 2 supports a revolving shaft 1 which can rotates freely and fixes a cap 3 with the help of several screws 6. A signal generator 4 is fitted to a holding plate 7 under free sliding, and the holding plate 7 is fixed to the housing. A transformer 5 is composed of an iron core 51, a primary winding 52 and a secondary winding 53, and an insulating material 54 consisting of, for example, epoxy resin is used for fixation and insulation of these elements. A case 21 accomodating this insulating material 54 is constituted with a side 23 of the housing 2, the other side 22 built inside the housing 2 and part of the bottom 24 of the housing, and the other side 22 is integrated into the housing 2 with synthetic resin of, for example, polyphenylensulfide when the housing 2 is manufactured. |
