N - methylsulphonyl - N1 - (3,4 - dichlorophenyl) - S - methyl - isothiourea is prepared by reaction of N-methylsulphonyl-S-methylimino thiocarbonic acid chloride with 3,4-dichloroaniline and is further reacted with thionyl chloride to obtain N-methylsulphonyl-N1-(3,4- dichlorophenyl)chloroformamidine. Pesticidal compositions comprise a compound of Formula I together with a solid or liquid carrier.
