Pyrimidines have the formula (I) (where R1 is 1-3C alkoxy, (thio)-morpholino, 1-oxidothiomorpholino 1, 1-dioxidothiomorpholino or piperazino opt. substd. in the 4-posn. by 1-4C alkanoyl or alkenoyl, opt. substd. by methoxy, carboxyl or acetyl, by aminocarbonyl opt. substd. by 1 or 2 1-4C alkyl gps. by methoxy methyl or by pyridinoyl, salicyloyl, furanoyl, or 1-3C alkylsulphonyl, R2 is (thio) morpholino, 1-oxidothiomorpholino, 1, 1-dioxidothiomorpholino or piperazino opt. substd. in the 4-posn. by 1-3C alkanoyl opt. substd. by acetyl; R3 is H, Cl, Br, NO2, CN, CHO, MeCO or 2-4C carbalkoxy and R4 is H, Cl, Br, CN, amino opt. substd. by 1-3C alkyl, cyclohexyl, phenyl opt. substd. by Cl, COOH, COOMe or pyridyl, 2-4C carbalkoxy, 1-6C alkyl opt. substd. by 1 or 2 2-4C carbalkoxy gps. hydroxy or mercapto opt. substd. by alkyl or 1-6C alkyl, or 1-oxidothio-morpholino). (I) are anti-thrombic agents having little or no effect on blood pressure.
