Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody the adhesion property to glass substrates and color filters, etc., and excellent orientability and planarization characteristic by forming a liquid film consisting of a resin compsn. contg. specific polyamide acid on an electrode surface and drying the film by heating, thereby forming a polyamide film. SOLUTION: The liquid film consisting of the resin compsn. contg. the polyamide acid of 1000 to 20000 in weight average mol.wt. is formed by a printing method on the surface of the liquid crystal holding substrate formed with the electrode and is dried by heating, by which the polyamide film is formed. The resin compsn. contg. the polyamide acid contains a solvent in such a manner that a solid content concn. of 7 to 60 wt.% is attained. The viscosity of the soln. thereof is preferably 30 to 1000 mpa.s. The polyamide acid is preferably obtd. by bringing a diamine component contg. at least one kind of the compds. selected from a group consisting of a rigid diamine compd. having a benzene ring, rigid dihydrazine compd. having a benzene ring and diamine compd. having a sulfone group and/or sulfide group and a tetracarboxylic dianhydride component into reaction.
