Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and device to provide a welding stud having less cross sectional defects, to improve the stud so as to easily secure the expected strength of a structure and to manufacture such welding stud more efficiently. SOLUTION: As this welding stud, at least one end of a stud 16 constituted of a deformed reinforcing bar is crushed by cold working to thereby form a weld adaptive part whose the cross section consists of a nearly circular shape. As a manufacturing method of this welding stud, the stud 16 which is constituted of deformed reinforcing bar having length more than twice of a product, is supported at least at two places with supporting members 17-19, the middle part of the stud 16 is crushed in a nearly circular shape of a prescribed diameter by means of the lower and upper dies 21, 22 of a press working mechanism arranged among these supporting means to form two portions of the weld adaptive parts and the two welding studs are simultaneously produced by cutting the parts at the center.
