CHAFF LIGHTWEIGHT ARTIFICIAL CULTURE MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chaff lightweight artificial culture medium capable of avoiding the temporary nitrogen ingredient-lacking phenomenon of a plant just after a plant potting treatment, a subsequent growth instability phenomenon and a leaf yellowing phenomenon by using chaff particles for the artificial culture medium in order to simultaneously solve the problems of conventional methods applying only chemical fertilizers in large amounts to the surfaces of plant-growing fields and further problems for treating the chaff. SOLUTION: This chaff lightweight artificial culture medium basically comprises chaff particles, a nitrogen source necessary and sufficient for the degradation and removal of easily degradable saccharides contained in the chaff particles at the proliferation early stage of microorganisms, and fertilizer components. Therein, the chaff particles contain the chaff having particle sizes of about 0.6-1.2 mm in an amount of >=25 wt.% in a dry state, and all of the chaff, the nitrogen source and fertilizer components are subjected to grinding state treatments to further improve the functions of the culture medium.
