CASSETTE DETECTING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a cassette detecting mechanism for detecting whether a cassette to be loaded in a cassette box being in a shared device main body is of a standard type or of a miniature type simple in constitution and also inexpensive. SOLUTION: Projected parts 20A and a recessed part 21 constituting a part of a cassette detecting mechanism are integrally formed in a lid 20. Then, rotational angles of the lid 20 at the time cassettes whose sizes are different are passed are different. That is, since the lid 20 opening and closing a cassette inserting port 18A is also used for a part of the cassette detecting mechanism, the lid 20 is effectively utilized. Thus, the mechanism becomes simpler in constitution as compared with the constitution of the conventional cassette detecting mechanism and the number of parts are reduced in the mechanism and also the mechanism becomes inexpensive.
