MANUFACTURE OF MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium having an anti-forgery function which achieves a manufacturing method thereof and a production thereby in such a manner as to allow easier formation of unreloadable arbitrary information as magnetic fixed pattern at a necessary arbitrary location only on a first magnetic layer, moreover, eliminating of a special apparatus during the detection of information and further facilitating of the altering of written information. SOLUTION: Firstly, a first magnetic layer comprising a magnetically recordable and reproducible magnetic material is formed on a substrate and then, a specified signal is magnetically recorded on the first magnetic layer. Subsequently, a magnetic toner is made to adhere onto the first magnetic layer and solidified by heating or the like to form a second magnetic layer comprising a magnetic fixed pattern of arbitrary information. Especially, when the second magnetic layer is formed, a fixed externally oriented magnetic field is applied and the ratio by weight of a magnetic component of the magnetic toner is made to exceed 50%, thereby enabling the formation of a magnetic fixed pattern with a large reproduction output.
