Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flash fluorometer having no riskiness of blinding a photomultiplier tube(PMT) due to excess exposure of the PMT, by stepwisely increasing an intensity of the PMT until the PMT records detection of fluorescence within a specific range from the start of a light output of a very low level. SOLUTION: A fluorescent tube 10 having a low output flash lamp 12 and a high output flash lamp 14 is constructed. First, the respective lamps are supplied with powers so as to flash at low energy levels and then flash at higher energy levels. The lamp 12 is first flashed at the levels of the two stages, and then the lamp 14 is then flashed at the low level as needed. Thereafter, if necessary, the lamp 14 is flashed at a higher level. As a result, the lamp 12 is first flashed at the low energy level, then flashed at an intermediate energy level, and then, if necessary, the lamp 14 is flashed at the high level, and then flashed at the very high level. In this case, the lamps are all flashed in a range of 1.5 read cycle. |
