HYDROPHILIC TYPE COSMETIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING RETINOID STABILIZED WITH HUGE LIQUID CRYSTAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hydrophilic cosmetic composition for contriving to stabilize contained retinoid, in a hydrophilic type cosmetic excellent in sense in use. SOLUTION: In a hydrophilic type cosmetic composition containing retinoid, this hydrophilic type cosmetic composition is obtained by adding retinoid to an inner phase of a liquid crystal comprising 0.5-20 wt.% based on the total weight of the composition of a surfactant having >=45 deg.C phase transition temperature, 0.1-1.0 wt.% of an aliphatic alcohol and 0.1-1.0 wt.% of a cholesterol. The hydrophilic type cosmetic composition forms a liquid crystal film on the oil drop interface by using the surfactant having a high phase transition temperature and a bulk structure and adds retinoid to the inner phase of the liquid crystal to stabilize retinoid.
