METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR KNEADING AND EXTRUDING ASPHALT AND INORGANIC MATTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously extrude a molded article wherein asphalt and inorg. matter are kneaded by directly supplying the asphalt and the inorg. matter to a kneading extruder. SOLUTION: At first, inorg. matter 4 such as an iron powder or the like is charged in a kneading extruder 1 through a first supply port 2 on the upstream side thereof and, thereafter, a liquid asphalt 5 is introduced into the extruder from a second supply port 2A under pressure and the inorg. matter 4 and liquid asphalt are kneaded and melted to obtain a kneaded molten mixture which is, in turn, passed through a die 6 to obtain a sheet-shaped molded article 7. Since the inorg. matter 4 and the asphalt 5 are directly supplied to the kneading mixer 1, the kneading of them can be continuously performed and the sheet-shaped molded article can be continuously obtained through the die 6.
