MATERIAL FOR CLARIFYING WATER QUALITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material for clarifying water quality with excellent dephosphorization effect and being exchangeable and being easily exchanged. SOLUTION: This material consists of a cured body comprising a calcareous raw material, a siliceous raw material and an aggregate and the cured body 1 has appropriate holes 2 on its surface and is furthermore cured in an autoclave and the holes 2 are through-holes or non-through-holes and exist uniformly or non-uniformly on the surface. The aggregate consists of fine aggregate and/or coarse aggregate. In addition, an adsorbent may be incorporated in the cured body 1 and, furthermore, the cured body may be mounted in a frame for storing. In addition, as the method for preparing it, after the calcareous raw material, the siliceous raw material and the aggregate are mixed, the mixture is kneaded by adding water, and then, this kneaded material is poured into a form and is cured therein and, after the cured body obtd. is taken out of the form, it is cured in an autoclave.
