METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ELECTROLYTIC OXIDATION TREATMENT OF WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic oxidation treatment method which removes trace TOC in water of low concentration of organic components efficiently and can produce inexpensive and high quality pure water and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: To remove trace organic substances contained in water of low concentration of organic components electrochemically by oxidative decomposition, first raw water containing dissolved oxygen is passed through a cathode part 3 having a platinum electrode 4 as a cathode, and produced hydrogen peroxide is mixed into the raw water. Next, the raw water is passed through an anode part 6 having a lead dioxide electrode 7 as an anode by raw water connection piping 5 to be contacted with ozone produced in the anode part 6 so that hydrogen peroxide and ozone are made to coexist in the raw water to remove organic substances by oxidative decomposition.
