Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an HAPOI67 polypeptide useful for treating and diagnosing such diseases as infectious diseases caused by HIV-1 or HIV-2, pain, cancer, anorexia, overeating, asthma and Parkinson's disease, and to obtain a polynucleotide encoding the above polypeptide. SOLUTION: This HAPOI67 polypeptide includes an amino acid sequence >=80% identical with an amino acid sequence of the formula; and the other objective polynucleotide includes a nucleotide sequence encoding a polypeptide >=80% identical with the whole length of a nucleotide sequence encoding the above-mentioned polypeptide and having the activity of the HAPOI67 polypeptide, or a nucleotide sequence complementary to the above-mentioned nucleotide sequence. The polypeptide of the present invention can be recombinantly produced from the polynucleotide of the other present invention afforded by expression sequence tag analysis from a cDNA library derived from mRNA included in human splenocytes by the standard cloning and screening technique.
