Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture display device without causing deterioration in vertical resolution by making a video position definite to a picture screen in a scanning system to periodically move raster position. SOLUTION: This picture display device has a while cathode-ray tube 1 by which plural electron beams are vertically arranged at regular intervals for scanning and displaying video, and a field sequential system circuit 4 by which, when a raster position is moved in the 1st direction, the video position to the raster is moved in a 2nd direction opposite to the 1st direction only by the same distance as the moving distance of the raster at this time and the timing of the video signal to the plural electron guns is changed so that the video position is not relatively changed to the picture screen 1a.
