Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge locking-out system, which can inhibit the operation of a printer engine, for image forming device. SOLUTION: A wheel 50 has plural digital indicators, and each digital indicator is set in a first or second condition. A sensor 52 is fixed adjacent to the digital indicators of an image forming device so as to sense the first and the second condition of the digital indicators and generate the sensor signal during the rotation of the wheel 50. Furthermore, the device includes an engine, in which machine class code and cartridge support registration data table are stored.
