COMPOSITION FOR ORAL CAVITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the change in viscosity with the storage stability increased with time by formulating an alginic ester of propylene glycol to the composition for oral cavity containing condensed phosphate salt and xanthan gum. SOLUTION: In an oral cavity composition that contains 0.01-15 wt.%, preferably 0.1-10 wt.% of straight or cyclic condensed phosphate salt of the formula: M n+2 Pn O3n-1 , M n Pn O3n-1 , (M PO3 )m . M (PO3 )2 }m (M is monovalent metal, M is a divalent metal and the parts of M and M may be substituted by H; (n) >=2; (m) >=3) as sodium pyrophosphate and 0.01-5 wt.%, preferable 0.05-2 wt.% of xanthan gum, an alginic ester of propylene are formulated, preferably in an amount of 0.01-5 wt.%, preferably 0.1-1 wt.%, in addition, when necessary, an abrasive, a thickener, a surfactant, a sweetener, perfume and a preservative are added thereto.
