STRIPPING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stripping device capable of achieving the stripping work, without relying on the experiences or the intuition of a worker. SOLUTION: A stripping device 6 collectively peels an outer sheath and a core sheath from a power window switch cable 1 for a vehicle having a plurality of cores which are wound spirally on the inner surface of the outer sheath. The stripping device comprises a pair of upper and lower stripping blades 7, 8 which are capable of adjusting the temperature, a timer 9 for separating the stripping blades 7, 8 by measuring the cut-in time, a chuck 10 for holding one end of the cable 1, and a pulling means 11 for pulling the chuck 10 in the axial direction of the cable 1. The outer sheath is shored in the lower stripping blade 8 located downside, while the outer sheath is deformed when the stripping blades 7, 8 are brought into contact with the lower stripping blade, a recess 18 is formed for arranging cores in a vertical direction or side wise, a cut-in blade 21 is formed in the bottom surface of the recess 18, and a cut-in blade 19 is formed at the recess 18 of the upper stripping blade 7.
