Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector which does not require much labor for management of component parts and can be mounted simply on a panel. SOLUTION: An electrical connector consists of a contact 14, an insulating member 12 for holding fast the contact 14, and a shell 16 having a flange 18 which fixes the insulating member 12 as covering and mounts it on a panel 36, wherein a sidewall 22 is furnished which is folded approx. at a right angle to both the sides of the flange 18 across the width, and a fixture 20 having a fixing means to the panel 36 is located in a space formed from the flange 18 and the side wall 22.
