Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image element making compatible covering power improvement and image contrast. SOLUTION: With regard to this element, a flat particle emulsion layer contains a hydrophilic colloidal vehicle and a sensitive radiative silver halide particle, whose basis is the silver quantity with a bromide content of 50 mole % or more and an iodide content of less than 3 mole %, on a first and a second principal planes of a filmy supporting body and at least one layer of a particle having a percent of weight of silver forming the silver halide particle less than 1:1 to the hydrophilic colloidal is applied on the respective principal planes. In this case, an average thickness of the flat particle on the interior of the flat particle emulsion layer is less than 0.2 μm and the covering quantity of the hydrophilic colloidal on the layer is less than 30 mg/dm .
