INNER CAM TYPE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL FEED PUMP AND ACCUMULATOR TYPE FUEL INJECTION DEVICE PROVIDED THEREWITH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the work of a high pressure fuel feed pump for an accumulator fuel injection device. SOLUTION: An accumulator fuel injection device is provided with an inner cam high pressure fuel feed pump 5 which feeds fuel to a common rail. Also the pump 5 is provided with a plural of cylinders #1 to #4, plungers 61 which reciprocate in the cylinders, and pump chambers which are formed in the cylinders and of which volumes vary according to the reciprocating motion of the plungers. In addition, the cylinders of the pump 5 are arranged so that there is a time that, while one cylinder is in a feed stroke, the other one cylinder is in an intake stroke. The pump 5 is provided with a feed passage 65c which connects the cylinder under force-feed stroke to the common rail, an intake passage 65b which connects the cylinder under intake stroke to a low pressure fuel feed source, and a feed control valve 67 which communicates and cuts off these feed passages and the low pressure fuel passage.
