Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure connection between a screw auger and a pulled-in polyethylene pipe in a pit on the side of a user from the ground in the subject method. SOLUTION: A vertical hole A is excurvated on a branch pipe on the side of road while a vertical hole B is excurvated in a site on the side of a user, and a horizontal hole 22 is bored from the hole A toward the hole B by the use of a screw auger 19 furnished with a shovel type cutting edge 20. At the time when the blade 20 reaches the hole B, a polyethylene pipe 17 equipped with a connector at its tip is inserted into the hole B, and a hook 1 is engaged with both shoulders 20a of the blade 20. The screw auger 19 is then pulled out at the side of the hole A, and thereafter the pipe 17 is pulled in the horizontal hole 22 formed by the screw auger 19.
