SHIELDING SYSTEM FOR MAGNETISM IN ELEVATED RAILWAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the influence of magnetic field generated by the current flowing from elevated cable lines to the houses under the elevated railway and the surrounding buildings. SOLUTION: In this shielding system of magnetism of an elevated railway having buildings under the elevated railway or in the surrounding area, magnetism-shielding materials 1 are used for the soundproof walls 2 of the elevated railway, earth wires 7 are extended into the bridge piers 8 of the elevated structure, the peripheral face thereof is covered with magnetism- shielding materials 9, and the reinforcements of the structural members are electrically connected to the earth wires 7. And the structural members of the bridge piers are used as the magnetism-shielding materials 9 covering the peripheral face of the bridge piers. And magnetism-shielding materials 12 such as steel sheets or silicon steel sheets laid on a waterproof layer of the uppermost floor for instance, or PC boards with deck plates, are used at the ceiling of the building 11.
