COSMETIC FOR IMPROVING CHAPPED SKIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare the subject cosmetic capable of improving chapped skin, especially horny formed into a roughened state and a rustling state, arranging the texture, achieving a smooth skin, and excellent in safety or the like by including L-serine, D-serine or DL-serine. SOLUTION: This cosmetic contains (A) 1.0-20.0 wt.%, preferably 1.0-10.0 wt.% L-serine, D-serine or DL-serine as an active ingredient, and, if necessary, (B) a powdery component, an oil and fat, a wax, a hydrocarbon, a higher fatty acid, a higher alcohol, esters, a silicone, a surfactant, a moisturizing agent, a water-soluble high molecular weight compound, a thickener, a film-forming agent, an ultraviolet absorber, a metal ion-blocking agent, a lower alcohol, a polyhydric alcohol, saccharides, amino acids, organic amines, a synthetic resin emulsion, a pH-adjusting agent, a skin nourishment agent, vitamins, an (assistant) antioxidant, a perfume, water or the like. The formulation is a solution system, a solubilization system, an emulsion system, an oil liquid system, a gel system, a powder-dispersion system, a water-oil two layer system, water- oil-powder three layer system or the like.
