ALKALI-PEELABLE PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND ALKALI-PEELABLE PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkali-peelable pressure sensitive adhesive compsn. that has good peelability with an alkali and excellent water resistance and adhesive properties, and to provide an alkali-peelable pressure sensitive adhesive tape using the pressure sensitive adhesive compsn. SOLUTION: This alkali-peelable pressure sensitive adhesive compsn. is an aq. emulsion type pressure sensitive adhesive compsn. comprising, components A and B, in the form of a particle wherein the component A is located on the outside thereof and the component B located on the inside thereof. The compsn. yields a pressure sensitive adhesive layer having an islands-sea structure wherein the component A constitutes islands and the component B constitutes sea. Component A: a water-soluble resin comprising a resin, having an acid value of not less than 1 meq/g, which has been neutralized with a base. Component B: a polymer which has been prepd. by emulsion polymn. of a free-radical polymerizable monomer, has an acid value of not more than 0.6 meq/g, and a glass transition temp. of -20 deg.C or below.
