SCREW CENTRIFUGE HAVING CENTRIFUGALLY ACTUATING VALVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw centrifuge for separating a solid-liquid mixture in which a problem due to liquid being or remaining in a centrifugal separation basket on starting operation and stopping operation, particularly a problem of liquid flowing out from a solid matter discharge port on the stopping operation does not arise. SOLUTION: Outside a liquid outflow port 13 of an end wall 14 of a basket of a screw centrifuge, at least one basket discharge port 16 is installed in the radial direction thereof, and a centrifugally actuating valve 18 having a closing member 19 with a spring loaded so that with high revolution (used revolution) of the basket, the closing member closes the basket discharge port 16 and with low revolution of the basket, it opens the discharge port 16 is inserted into a hole 17 which intersects the basket discharge port 16.
