Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of molten steel caused by widening of side nozzles and the breakage of a cast slab caused by casting burr by casting under condition of arranging the top parts of the side nozzles to a molten metal pool part side from a roll kissing point. SOLUTION: The tip parts of the side nozzles 2a, 2b are arranged while separating by the distance H to the molten metal pool part 4 side from the roll kissing point 9 so as not to touch to the roll kissing point 9. Therefore, the tip parts of the side nozzles 2a, 2b are not touched to the side surfaces near the roll kissing point 9. The back surfaces of the side nozzles 2a, 2b are made to press on the side surfaces of the cooling rolls 1a, 1b with cylinders through metals. At the time of pouring the molten metal 5 into the molten metal pool part 4, the solidified shells 6a, 6b developed on the peripheral surfaces of the cooling rolls 1a, 1b are shifted to the gap part between the rolls accompanied with the rotation of the cooling rolls 1a, 1b. On the way of this process, the solidified shells 6a, 6b are press-stuck at the roll kissing point 9 with the cooling rolls 1a, 1b to form the cast slab 7.
