Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor driven dehumidifying device which is capable of effectively executing dehumidification with the smallest possible electric energy by providing the device with a humidity sensor and operating an electric power fan only when prescribed humidity, for example, >=60%, is attained, is capable of extremely prolonging the exchange time of batteries in the case of a dehumidifier using the batteries and is extremely convenient. SOLUTION: The electric motor driven dehumidifying device 1 has device bodies 2, 4 having the electric power fan 20. An air inflow port 14 for introducing air from outside when the electric power fan 20 operates and an outflow port 15 for the air introduced into the device bodies are formed at the device body 4 so that the air sucked into the device bodies from the air inflow port 14 by the electric power fan 20 is fluidized toward the air outflow port 15 through the dehumidifier 5 housing deliquescent moisture absorbents arranged in the device bodies. The humidity sensor 30 is installed on the upstream side of the electric power fan 20 and the electric power fan 20 is operated only when the prescribed moisture or above is attained.
