METHOD FOR RECORDING CARD AND CARD-ISSUING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable card record method and a highly durable card-issuing apparatus whereby information such as characters, figures, etc., is recorded to thick and hard card media without being limited by a shape and a thickness of the card media. SOLUTION: In this card-issuing apparatus 1, a coloring-fixing unit 7 including a xenon lamp projects light of a predetermined wavelength with the use of the xenon lamp from above toners supplied by a developing unit 6 to an electrostatic image formed on a diazo heat-sensitive recording layer of a card medium 10 by an electrostatic recording unit 5, thereby fixing so that the diazo heat- sensitive recording layer of an area of the card medium except an area where the toners adhere is not colored, and also heating the area where the toners adhere with heat absorbed by the toners to color the area where the toners adhere, i.e., electrostatic image. Accordingly, information recorded to the card medium is provided with durability without being influenced by a thickness and flexibility of the card medium.
