TIME CORRECTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time correction system which eliminates the need to adjust the frequency of a clocking oscillator and decreases the frequency of communication for time adjustment. SOLUTION: When this system is started up, a time correction request part 15 generates a dialing request to a dial part 16 to dial an NTT time-casting service part 1. A speech recognition part 11 recognizes an answer of its time guide service and corrects the time of the internal timer and a time error calculation part 13 calculates the current time error. According to the time error, a time error prediction part 14 predicts the tendency of time errors and makes time corrections periodically. Thus, a communication with the NTT time-casting service is made only when the system is started up and then time corrections are automatically made thereafter inside, so that the communication cost can greatly be reduced.
