MUSICAL INSTRUMENT TRAINING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical instrument training device or sound signal converter which enables a player to hear the reproducing tones of a musical instrument as if these tones are produced from a position when the musical instrument is played without a silencer and as if the certain reproducing tone is produced from a certain specific position even if the silencer is used. SOLUTION: This musical instrument training device has an HL memory section 203 which stores the propagation characteristic from one position to the position of a user's left ear, an HR memory section 205 which stores the propagation characteristic from one position to the position of the user's right ear, an HL convolution section 204 which convolutes an acquired electric signal and the propagation characteristic stored in the HL memory section 203 and an HR convolution section 206 which convolutes the acquired electric signal and the propagation characteristic stored in the HR memory section 205. The output of the HL convolution section 204 is reproduced as the tone for the left year and the output of the HR convolution section 206 is reproduced as the tone for the right ear by a reproducing device.
