METALLIC BAR STOCK SWAGING METHOD AND ITS DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device capable of swaging a bar stock without generating any bending. SOLUTION: In the swaging method forming a heated part 5 by partially heating a bar stock 1 with a heating device 4 and providing a compressing force while transferring the heated part with respect to the bar stock to thick its section, the displacement from the axial center of the bar stock part 1a positioning behind the heated part 5 is detected with a first displacement detecting means 16, a load is applied to the bar stock part 1a with a first bending straightening means 20 so as to eliminate the displacement, at the same time, the displacement from the axial center of the bar stock part 1b positioning behind part 5 is detected with a second displacement detecting means 28, the load is applied to the bar stock part 1b with a second bending straightening means 30 so as to eliminate the displacement, and swaging is executed under the state not generating the difference in level in the heated part 5.
