Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and harmless electrical rust preventive system for steel structures which suppresses the rust formation of the steel structure by rain water, etc., prolongs its life by increasing its durability and maintains the painting thereof. SOLUTION: An electrode 2 is mounted on a steel product 1 of the steel structure to be exposed to storm and rain and the current from an AC power source 6 is regulated to a slight DC current by a current controller 5. The current is supplied as the slight current 4 from the electrode 2 to the steel product 1 from the pinholes 10 of the painting 9 through drain drops 3. The steel product 1 is provided with a ground 7. The electrodes are arranged at arbitrary plural points and the steel products are replenished with electrons by energization by one unit of the current controller 5, by which the metal ionization is prevented and, therefore, the generation and progression of the rust are suppressed. At the time of drying, the energization is stopped by an insulator 11. The rust prevention is thus efficient and cost effective. The system has a rust preventive effect from the electrode mounting parts to intricate parts by electrical connection. The deterioration of the painting is prevented and the beauty is maintained. The time for repainting is drastically prolonged. The system has no harm on the human body and the environment because of the slight current and the maintenance thereof is excellent. The cost of the system is low and the application range is wide.
