LASER IMAGE EXPOSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser image exposing device utilizing a semiconductor laser array as a light source of which raising characteristic is good and capable of obtaining a high quality image. SOLUTION: A driving device of a semiconductor laser array in a laser image exposing device comprises setting devices (8-1)-(8-m) for setting a light emission quantity of a semiconductor laser array 1, driving pulse generators (6-1)-(6-m) for designating a timing of on or off of the emission of the semiconductor laser array 1, setting devices (9-1)-(9-m) for setting a bias which is lower than a light emission threshold level of the semiconductor laser array 1 and driving pulse generators (7-1)-(7-m) for designating a timing of on or off of the bias. An integral value of energy of the LED light emitted from the semiconductor laser array 1 by the bias is set to an extent of an exposing quantity that an image is not formed on a recording medium.
