Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid sensor that is excellent in responsiveness, hardly deteriorated, easy to manufacture, and inexpensive. SOLUTION: The fluid sensor 1 is composed of a base part 2, a flange 3, a sensor element support member 4, a sensor element 5 and a protective cover 6. The protective cover 6 is extended beyond the sensor element 5 and a fore end opening part 7 is formed in the fore end thereof, while a lateral opening part 8 is formed on the lateral side. A hole 9 is formed in the flange 3 and the fluid sensor 1 is disposed so that a bolt 101 fitted to a passage wall 100 may pass the hole 9 of the flange 3, and then fastened by a nut 102. The tip part on the downstream side of the flange 3 is cut off partially so as to distinguish this side from the upstream side and thereby to prevent a mistake in the direction of fitting.
