Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly seal two glass substrates at their edge parts, and to prevent pollution between the glass substrates by the dust from a furnace wall, etc. SOLUTION: In a roller hearth type continuous sealing furnace comprising a heating zone I, a soaking zone II and a gradually cooling zone III, muffles 10 (10a, 10b) are mounted in the heating zone 1, a radiant tube burner 13 are arranged in each space between the muffles 10 (10a, 10b) and a ceiling wall, and between the muffles and the hearth, and an electric heater 14 is arranged on each side wall in the muffles 10(10a, 10b). In addition, the soaking zone II and the gradually cooling zone III are of the structure of inner plate 16, and the electric heaters 13 are arranged in the ceiling part, the hearth part and each side wall part of the gradually cooling zone III.
