Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for the head usable more safely and comfortably, and excellent in hair loss preventive and hair growth promotive effect, by including a specific bis-tetrahydrofuran-type compound analog. CONSTITUTION: This composition for the head is obtained by formulating 0.000001-5 (pref. 0.00001-0.1) wt.% of at least one kind of compound [or ester derivative thereof (e.g. a lower alkylcarboxylic ester, pref. acetyl derivative)] selected from compound analogs of formula I [R to R are each H, OH, or R forms carbonyl group together with a carbon atom bound thereto; R is H or acetyl; Z is a group of formula II, etc.; (p) is 7 or 9, or (CH2 )p is represented by formula III] (pref. a compound, wherein Z is a group of formula II, esp. squamocin or rollinecin) among various and diversified bis- tetrahydrofuran-type compound analogs derived from plants belonging to the genus Annonaceae.
