METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RETRIEVING TARGET OBJECT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and device for retrieving a target object by which the target object near a reference point on an electronic map can be retrieval in a short time. SOLUTION: In a step 301, a distance from the reference point to each area is calculated. In a step 302, the retrieving order of areas is set in the order of near distances from the reference point. In a step 303, an area to be retrieved is set in a 1st area. In a step 304, the target object in an i-th area is acquired. In a step 305, a distance from the reference point to each target object is calculated. In a step 306, whether each target object is nearer to the reference point than the (i+1)th area or not is judged. In a step 307, the target object judged as a nearer target object is stored. In a step 308, whether ιn pieces of target objects are stored or not is judged. In a step 309, whether the i-th area is the final area or not judged. In a step 310, an area to be retrieved is set in (i+1)th area. In a step 311, n pieces of target objects close to the reference points out of the stored target objects are outputted as a result. Thus time up to the retrieval end of the target object can be shortened.
