Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material testing machine, in which an instruction for discharging (ram return) pressure oil at a high speed when the hydraulic pressure of a ram is manually controlled is simplified and operability, is improved. SOLUTION: A control part for controlling the actuation of a hydraulic servo valve and a discharging valve is provided with a manual operating means 15 to operate a hydraulic servo valve 13 manually according the operative position of a manual operating dial 21 which continuously instructs the supply, retaining, and discharging of hydraulic oil to a ram by manual operation and a high-speed ram returning means 22 for actuating a discharging valve 14, when the manual operating dial 21 is operated to a maximum position (RETURN-MAX) of discharging hydraulic oil.
