SOLUTION: This is a shock absorber having a large number of through or hollow holes in a direction of compressing, which has a hollow part 2 surrounded by a partition wall 1 formed of material having a bending modulus of 5000 kgf/cm or more, wherein the hollow part partition wall 1 of the shock absorber is deformed, and a reaction-compressibility curve at the time of longitudinally compressing of the shock absorber satisfies the condition that yield strength is not less than 100 tf/m and a compression energy absorbing capacity per unit volume is not less than 50 tf.m/m , and which is provided with a thin wall on the partition wall 1. |
